MAKING ART IN ISOLATION

Tate. 2020. Making Art in Isolation – Talking Point | Tate. [online] Available at: <https://www.tate.org.uk/art/talking-point/making-art-isolation> [Accessed 2 March 2021].

Initial research exploring the effects of isolation and the current lockdown on the production of art, as well as adapting the concept to the subject of a piece. I wanted to consider how you can effectively illustrate the current effects of COVID and isolation and its influence on how we feel through the means of portrait drawing, applying this research to aid the development of my ideas. This was the main piece of research which inspired my ideas for my FMP.

I wanted to research further into the idea of the pandemic and how we have responded to lockdown and isolation. This has allowed me to develop more ideas to effectively demonstrate this concept.

Exploring the idea of producing a series of portraits to adapt to my idea of people wearing face masks. I will need to consider what size, style and how many to achieve the most effective series of drawings.

Further development idea- explore the best method in presenting work. Gallery space?
