'JUST DO IT'- NIKE
Initial ideas & Research
JUST DO IT

Origin- The slogan was inspired by the final words of the notorious killer, Gary Gilmore, who demanded the implementation of his death sentence. His final words before his execution, 'Just Do It', inspired the use of the phrase in the advertising campaign for the brand Nike.

I have experimented with a variety of fonts, styles and compositions to determine the most effective method to produce my final outcome. I wanted to incorporate the use of portraiture along with text to produce a simplistic, yet striking image to deliver his message across. I have chosen to restrict the colour scheme to black and white. Not only does this allow you to produce a bold, prominent image, the contrast between the two colours can ultimately be symbolic of the racial inequality and segregation which Martin Luther King peacefully protested against during his life.

CONSPIRACY THEORY
The Conspiracy theories into the Death of Princess Diana

I have used newspaper articles as a source of research to explore key terminology which was widely repeated surrounding her death. I aim to use this to form a final typographic image.
